Our Shiraz 2021 is an incredibly bold, opulent, and majestic expression of our winemaking philosophy, purposefully crafted to mirror the iconic, high-octane style of premium Shiraz. Leveraging the intense heat and sun-drenched terroir of our estate, this powerhouse vintage captures maximum phenolic ripeness and concentration. Masterfully cellared for 15 months in selected oak barrels, the resulting wine is a striking showcase of structural scale, seamlessly weaving explosive fruit expression with sophisticated, warming complexity.
The wine commands immediate attention in the glass with its dense, opaque, ink-like purple-black color. The bouquet is remarkably rich, heavy, and multi-layered, bursting with concentrated aromas of jammy blackberries, wild blueberries, and stewed plums. These intense fruit layers are beautifully integrated with complex notes of dark cocoa, roasted coffee beans, sweet vanilla bean, and a signature, prominent punch of cracked black pepper spice from the oak. On the palate, this 2021 vintage is full-bodied, massive, and deeply texturing. It wraps the mouth in a velvety embrace of ripe, muscular but smoothly polished tannins and a balanced, warming structural density.
