Next Generation 2022 is a groundbreaking, deeply authentic, and emotionally resonant milestone for our estate, carrying a profound philosophical statement inside every bottle. This exceptional natural dry red wine represents the symbolic passing of the torch, masterfully envisioned and crafted by Boris Ristov, the older son of our founder and chief winemaker Lazar Ristov. Born from an uncompromising vision of absolute purity, this blend marries the international nobility of Cabernet Sauvignon 50% with the raw, untamed power of our indigenous Vranec 50%. Made with zero added sulfites, no oak barrels, and utilizing only selected yeasts to spark its clean fermentation, this wine is a bold message written by the next generation—proving that premium, world-class wine can be achieved in its closest form to nature.
In the glass, it commands attention with an incredibly dense, opaque, inky dark-purple color, reflecting the thick skins of our sun-drenched grapes. The bouquet is raw, vibrantly alive, and deeply expressive, bursting with concentrated aromas of wild blackberries, crushed blueberries, and dark forest cherries, layered over complex notes of pomegranate molasses, wild herbs, and a subtle, earthy minerality. Because no oak is used, the purity of the fruit remains completely unshielded and pristine. On the palate, this wine is full-bodied, energetic, and beautifully texturing. The muscular tannins of Vranec and the firm architecture of Cabernet Sauvignon are beautifully rounded, driven by a sharp, clean vitality that only natural wines possess. Serving Suggestion: Best served at a temperature of 15–17°C. Since it is a natural wine made without sulfites, letting it sit in the glass for a few moments allows its raw layers to open beautifully.
