About This Product
Erigon Merlot 2022
Premium Dry Red Wine | 100% Merlot | Tikveš Wine Region
Erigon Merlot 2022 is a profound, luxuriously textured, and beautifully poised expression of our winemaking philosophy, crafted to showcase the sublime harmony between intense power and poetic finesse. Cultivated on our sun-drenched estate vineyards where Merlot achieves ideal phenolic ripeness, this exceptional 2022 vintage is patiently aged for a minimum of 12 months in select oak barrels. The result is a premium red wine that commands immediate attention with its deep structural framework, yet remains incredibly soft, approachable, and defined by a classical, delicate elegance.
In the glass, it reveals a deep, concentrated ruby-red color with intense purple reflections. The bouquet is deeply expressive, elegant, and multi-layered, unfolding ripe aromas of black cherry, juicy dark plum, and wild blackberry jam, beautifully integrated with sophisticated notes of dark cocoa, vanilla bean, dried mint, and a subtle touch of toasted oak spice. On the palate, this vintage is full-bodied, voluminous, and remarkably velvety. It wraps the mouth in an opulent embrace of ultra-fine, silky, and seamlessly rounded tannins, perfectly balanced by a refreshing and well-integrated acidity. It finishes with immense grace, leaving an exceptionally long, clean, and beautifully perfumed trail of dark fruit and sweet wood spice. Erigon Merlot is a timeless testament to pure balance and liquid luxury.
Serving Suggestion: Best served at a temperature of 16–18°C. Decanting for about 30–45 minutes before serving is highly recommended to allow its complex bouquet to fully open.
Food Pairing: An outstanding gastronomic partner. It pairs magnificently with roasted duck with cherry reduction, grilled beef tenderloin, rack of lamb, pan-seared pork chops, wild mushroom risotto, and medium-aged cheeses like Gouda or Comté.
